- A 3-day wait. The state wait is 3 days, not counting weekends and holidays. A Florida concealed weapon license skips it.

Questions Orlando buyers ask
Can I buy a gun online and pick it up in Orlando?
Yes. Order the firearm here, choose a licensed FFL dealer in Orlando or anywhere in Central Florida, and we ship it to them. You complete ATF Form 4473 and the Florida background check at their counter, then take it home once any waiting period has passed. Parts and accessories ship straight to your door.
How old do I have to be to buy a gun in Florida?
Florida requires buyers to be at least 21 to purchase any firearm from a licensed dealer. Your FFL checks ID at the transfer.
Is there a waiting period in Florida?
Florida law sets a waiting period of 3 days, not counting weekends and legal holidays, before a dealer can deliver a firearm. Holders of a Florida concealed weapon license are exempt from the state wait. Some counties add their own rules, so your FFL will confirm the timing at their counter.
Do I need a permit to carry in Florida?
Since July 1, 2023, adults who are eligible for a Florida concealed weapon license may carry a concealed handgun without one. Many owners still get the license because it exempts them from the waiting period and is recognised by other states.
Do you ship ammunition, parts and optics to my house?
Parts, optics and accessories ship directly to your address in Florida where lawful, usually within 1-3 business days. Complete firearms, frames and receivers always ship to an FFL.
Can Orlando residents buy NFA items like SBRs?
Florida allows NFA items such as short-barreled rifles and suppressors. You buy the item, file ATF Form 4 through the transferring dealer, and take it home once the ATF approves the transfer.
