This Apex 5.00″ stripped slide gives your FN 509 a longer sight radius and a fresh corrosion-resistant build, made for the salt air and humidity of the Florida coast. The black PVD finish stands up to sweat, spray, and daily carry wear without flaking or rusting. You keep your factory internals — just swap them over from your current FN 509 slide, add a 5″ barrel, and you’re set. All internal spaces in this slide accept standard FN factory components, so there’s no fitting drama.

Key slide features

• 5.00″ length for the FN 509 pistol — extends your sight radius for faster, more precise shots at the range or on the draw
• Front and rear cocking serrations give you a positive grip when press-checking or racking one-handed
• Two serration styles to choose from: Classic or Lightning Bolt — pick the look that fits your EDC
• Suppressor-height black-on-black sights installed by Apex — co-witness with your red dot, no extra gunsmith trip needed
• Black PVD finish — hard-wearing against corrosion, scratches, and Florida’s coastal moisture
• Ported slide option available: slide ports align with the Apex Ported Barrel for the FN 509, letting escaping gas reduce muzzle rise for flatter, faster follow-up shots. An Apex ported barrel is required for the ports to function

What you need to complete the build

• All internals from your existing FN 509 slide — this slide is stripped, so you supply the fire control parts
• A 5″ barrel: factory FN 5″ barrel works, or choose one of these Apex options:

Optic mounting — RMR cut

• Slide is cut with the geometry to direct-mount RMR footprint optics, including RMR, RMR-HD, SRO, Holosun 508, and similar models
• Check your optic manufacturer’s torque specs. If none are provided, torque all screws to 20 in-lb (inch pounds) maximum
